DESCRIPTION
The Department for Human Rights, Employment and Social Integration has set up a support programme with the Gypsy Initiative Association (AIG) and Cáritas whose aim is to promote measures to integrate families belonging to ethnic minorities into Guipuzcoan society.TARGET FAMILIES

Social Support.
This consists of a process to help all those socially deprived and excluded families that have begun to try and integrate into society. The Provincial Council through the Department of Social Integration and Employment, the Municipal Social Services and the Gypsy Initiative Association take part in this social support process to establish a work plan with the family that is to be helped.
Mediation.
This complements the social support programme in those cases in which it is necessary to mediate between the family and the educational, social, work, health and cultural spheres.
Intensive emotional and educational support programme for families with minors.
This aims to help minors to acquire a series of social and educational skills and habits, and tries to ensure that their fathers and mothers are properly prepared to carry out their job as parents.
Training.
Taking part in various training and basic literacy courses and workshops.
Guidance for technical staff from the social services.
In order to provide them with knowledge and understanding of Gypsy culture and of the culture of other minorities so that they can provide appropriate support in each case..
