This consists of a variety of programmes that work on social and working aspects of the mentally handicapped in order to integrate them fully into the workplace. It supplements funding by the National Employment Institute (INEM).
Their main aim is to enable the disabled to carry out productive work, by regularly taking part in market operations and their purpose is to ensure them a paid job, at the same time as they provide them with a means of integrating into the open work system (ordinary-normalised).
This consists of a contract between a company from the ordinary labour market (collaborative company) and a special employment centre in order to carry out projects or services that are directly connected with the company's usual activities. To do this, a group of disabled workers from the special employment centre goes temporarily to the collaborative company's workplace.
This is a kind of work that, through help from a specialised professional (job assistant,) assists the disabled in their needs for continuous support in the workplace, so that they can choose, get and keep a paid job in integrated workplaces.
In the following links the complete job placement process for the disabled and the one for the mentally ill are shown.
