The basic principles that the activities of the Department for Human Rights, Employment and Social Integration are based on are as follows:
Equal rights in the sense that restrictions on people should not prevent them from taking part in social life and working.
Equal opportunities for all citizens regardless of their race, gender, origin or any other social or personal condition.
Social integration and normalisation, to establish positive relations between free individuals and their physical and social environment by respecting equality.
